Pollinators like bees,
birds, and butterflies are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we take each day.
We need pollinators, and pollinators need our help! They are at a critical point in their own survival. Many reasons contribute to their recent decline, and there is still much to learn.
We know for certain; however, that more nectar and pollen sources provided by flowering plants will help improve their health and numbers. Increasing the number of non-chemical, pollinator-friendly gardens and landscapes will help revive the health of bees, butterflies, and birds.
Because pollinators and plants co-evolve; bees, butterflies, and other local animals and insects are best suited to flowers and plants that are native to our area.
