To our volunteers and supporters:
Thank you so much for recognizing and supporting a great cause! Volunteers like you genuinely change the world, and we are forever grateful. I have heard it said that “The role of a volunteer is to get more benefit out of volunteering than they put in”. The sponsors, coordinators, volunteers, and community hope and pray that you are blessed in many ways by your participation. Pastor Roger McCune, Thorp Community Garden.
Tony and Kimmy Cebbe for 12 yards of compost for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 gardening seasons.
Thorp resident Dick Fields who tilled the garden with his tractor and tiller for this 2022 gardening season.
Art and Susan Colts for their diligence in creating and maintaining an awesome website for Thorp Community Garden.
Iva Clark who is inspiring others by her famous healthy food quip “You know… you are what you eat”
My wife Janie who made about 700 seed pots out of strips of newspapers at our kitchen table, which she filled with potting soil and then seeded them with vegetable seeds.
Note: About 98% of the seeds sprouted and are now growing in the greenhouse. We will transplant them into the garden in the 1st or 2nd week in May.
