Happy Month of May to all Thorp Community Garden Members, Fans, and Partners.
As we move further into spring, volunteers have been working hard to prepare the grounds for planting in a few weeks! Plowing has been completed and planting beds are being prepared.
Janie had a problem in the greenhouse with nighttime critters vandalizing and eating the freshly planted seed pods (stay tuned). We have had some amazing people come together this season and work on making pots for the seedlings and have some things in the works for the next few weeks.
As always, feel free to contact Roger @ 506.312.9056 if you are interested in volunteering. We are always looking for new people to come and share this wonderful work with!
This week’s newsletter has included a video done by, Dr. Pearson and Emma discussing why community gardens are beneficial, especially in Kittitas County, … and other things surrounding community gardening and public health!
